Inexpensive clothes can become more stylish easily. Use following four tips for future additions to your wardrobe and to update the clothes you already have.
Take Off The Buttons:
When a garment costs less so do the buttons. Change the buttons. New buttons can create a dramatically different look. Do something that improves the look of the piece and reflects your personal style. You could use several buttons on one shirt. Vintage buttons are nice.Play with different colors and styles, just be sure the buttons are the right size for the buttonholes.
Loose The Belt Loops:
Remove attached belt loops from any inexpensive garment. These belt loops are usually nonfunctional placeholders for inadequate belts. Carefully remove them and instantly see a style improvement.
Bring Out Better Belts:
If a belt came with the belt loops you just removed, do not use it. These belts are usually plastic and poor quality. Wear a good quality belt or belt with a scarf.
Tighten Up Gaping Fabric:
This will require sewing. You will need to find a tailor if you have yet to mastered sewing. Gaping fabric makes the garment unwearable until it is altered. This happens in sleeveless dresses and tops under the arms. It can also happen in the back, usually at a zipper. These are usually easy fixes. The alterations will add to the cost of the piece, so consider this before you buy something with this issue.
Use these tips. Look more polished and add personal style touches to your look with your choice of buttons and belts. Glamour is not about spending money.
Glamour is using what you have and making it the best it can be.
